Fireflies

Adapted from Owl City's Fireflies this children illustration book demonstrates the use of vector and textures. The handwritten typography reflects the child-like atmosphere the lyrics are conveying. The overall book was handmade by using a traditional book binding technique. Neenah, starwhite flash blue paper, was used to provide that glow for the fireflies. I wanted to give the overall book an inviting feel to help emphasize the aesthetics of color from the reds, blues, and yellows.
